The Junior Analyst is a key member of the campaign team in serving internal and external clients. The Junior Analyst takes a lead role in building and improving public affairs campaigns across multiple channels. This position works alongside internal public affairs executives, the digital campaign managers, our data science partners, and clients to deliver business results and improve our ability to increase our impact and success.

The Junior Analyst will work with executives to manage campaign and channel optimization, regularly produce insights to improve campaigns, and steward the growth of Signal’s data tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret data from various digital and traditional media sources to provide insights and recommendations that drive business outcomes.
    • Monitor and analyze cross-channel data (including website, programmatic and direct display ads, traditional print, online and social media, and more), to synthesize learnings across the engagement funnel. This includes both campaign level and holistic account performance.
  • Identify and differentiate observations, insights (key learnings), and recommendations derived from analysis.
  • Assess and analyze client benchmarks (industry, client, and competitor)
  • Ensure data accuracy, develop automated processes, and adhere to corporate data security requirements.
  • Support internal optimization and external reporting processes, collaborating closely with paid media and account teams.
  • Assist in developing and delivering presentations for senior leaders, focusing on building a narrative from the data with tactical recommendations.
  • Support development of dashboards and reports to visualize and communicate key metrics to collaborators, including technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support development of testing plans and strategic recommendations for internal and client teams.
  • Intake, lead, and deliver on ad hoc analytics requests from Sr. Director of Analytics and other Signal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to identify growth opportunities that improve client outcomes. This includes attending internal and client weekly meetings in addition to proactively leading communications on relevant analytics opportunities.
  • Drive implementation of landscape and competitor analyses to help clients define market positioning.
  • Assist with team training, goal setting, and evaluations, and foster innovation and independent thought to grow clients' business and improve work quality.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in generating and presenting insights from marketing/product data
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of web analytics (such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Data Studio.)
  • Experience with conversion tracking, tag creation, testing, manipulation, and variable identification. Experience with Google Tag Manager is a bonus.
  • Experience in digital marketing and/or social media analytics (i.e., report generation, marketing campaign analysis, web analytics, A/B testing, email performance, social media measurement, content testing, etc.)
  • Experience with boolean searches and unstructured data.
  • A bias towards proactive engagement with teams to identify needs and focus on optimizations that best help achieve client goals. Outstanding communication skills and ability to explain complex topics to different audiences with varying degrees of sophistication.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage medium to large scale projects from start to finish.
  • High level of organization and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and respond to urgent requests.
  • Undergraduate Degree in a quantitative field and/or experience in data analytics in lieu of education.
